Student Housing

The University of Mississippi

Constructed in 1952 and renovated in 2001, Deaton is one of the most centrally-located residence halls. Situated across the street from the student union, Deaton houses male residents on four floors. Student lounges are located on each floor and a laundromat is also available. Rooms are furnished with a movable dresser and desk, a closet, and a twin extra-long bed for each student. Ethernet hookups, wireless internet, basic cable, and a phone line that can be activated free of charge is also included in every room. A 24-hour front desk, a community assistant on each floor, and student ID card readers on individual rooms and all exterior doors enhance the safety and security of the community.
